In its current generation, the Nissan X-Trail might not be conventionally boxy and muscular in appearance as it used to be before. However, with this facelifted avatar, the new X-Trail is easily one of the most handsome and sublime looking vehicles on sale in its segment. The nice mix-up of curvy and angular design elements make it look fresh, while on the inside, it is the sense of space, premium fit and finish and presence of contemporary features which do make the X-Trail a Gen-X SUV.

In terms of engine options, the Nissan X-Trail has got two of them. The smaller 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine produces 144 PS of maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque output. On the other hand, the larger 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine produces 171 PS of peak power and 233 Nm of peak torque outputs. Both these engines do get a common CVT transmission as the only gearbox option.
